Overview
Goal-oriented and tenacious, Lilian commenced her tertiary education at the University of Ghana, Legon, where she earned a degree in Economics and Psychology. She obtained an LLB from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Legon, and a professional certificate from the Ghana School of Law, Accra. She subsequently obtained an LLM in International Maritime Law from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI), Msida.
An astute scholar and avid writer, Lilian received the IMLI Award for ‘Best In Legislative Drafting’ in her graduating year for her work on the ‘Work In Fishing Convention, 2007 (NO. 188)’. Prior to this, she received a Certificate in Human Rights Law from Fordham University Law School, New York, USA, as well as a Certificate in International Negotiations from the Netherlands Institute of International Relations (Clingendael) at The Hague, Netherlands.
Lilian is the editor of the leading Alternative Dispute Resolution textbook studied at the Ghana School of Law, ‘The Law and Practice of Alternative Dispute Resolution in Ghana’ authored by former Justice of the Supreme Court and former Chief Justice of The Gambia, His Lordship Justice Brobbey and legal luminary Victor Brobbey, Esq. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) and the International Bar Association.
Aside from being an expert in alternative dispute resolution, Lilian has additionally carved a niché in international commercial transactions, especially in maritime law, construction law, and oil and gas law at Zoe, Akyea and Co.
